The present article focuses on the study of musical instruments remains found in underwater archaeological excavations in different parts of the world which so far were in a state of almost total lack of study. Firstly, they are cataloged, providing musicologists access to these documents. These instruments have the advantage of not having undergone any changes over time, which is not the case with the instruments preserved ashore, as many of them suffered subsequent changes. This line of work establishes a channel of effective communication between the work of underwater archaeologists and musicologists.v
