A previously unknown document from the historian Joaquim Sarret i Arbós concerning the organists from La Seu de Manresa contains much information about the organ, with the earliest report dating from 1496 referring to the organist's responsibilities and to his salary, and further contains a chronological list of the resident organists from 1562 (Miquel Aymerich del Bosch) to the year 1865 (Mariano Matarrodona). The said document adds to our knowledge of the history of the organ and its organists, and thereby contributes to completing the study of the Music Chapel pertaining to the Manresan Collegiate Church.
