The present report describes the modillions of gothic style located at the old retrochoir of the Metropolitan and Primate Cathedral of Tarragona. After a brief historical reference there is a description which ends with a short consideration on their present state of preservation. The Cathedral of Tarragona, erected upon the remains of a Roman temple, is a fine example of the last Romanic architecture existing in Catalonia which shows the transition from Romanic to Gothic, since it was started at the close of the 12th century and was finished at the beginning of the 14th century.
